The Outsiders
Two-Bit Mathews
Two-Bit was the joker of Ponyboy’s group. He was an 18-year-old greaser whose real name was Keith. He was a real wiseguy who regularly shoplifted. His prized possession was his sleek black-handled switchblade. He got this while wandering aimlessly around a hardware store for two hours. He got drunk a lot and always needed alcohol in his system to fight without getting scared. Even though his personality was bright, he knows how to act in a tragic or dire situation. Two-Bit was a child in an almost-adult body. He liked Mickey Mouse, so he always wore shirts with Mickey on it. In the movie, there was a scene where he was actually watched the cartoon with Steve.
Steve Randle
17-year-old Steve was tall, lean, cocky, and smart. He liked to comb his hair in thick complicated swirls. Along with that, he'd been Soda's best buddy since grade school. He once called Darry "all brawn, no brain", and ended up with a punch to his jaw. Steve's specialty was cars. He worked at the gas station with Sodapop. Steve also considered Pony "a tag along". Steve was not described much in the book, neither in the movie, where he was played by Tom Cruise.
